The "Freedom of Choice Act" (FOCA) would have a destructive effect on the freedom of conscience of doctors, nurses and health care workers whose personal convictions do not permit them to cooperate in the private killing of unborn children. It would threaten Catholic health care institutions and Catholic Charities.

Child Protection Policy Revised
"We re-affirm our deep commitment to creating a safe environment within the Church for children and youth." This quote from the USCCB Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People in 2005 identifies the intention of our diocese with the revision of the Diocese of Youngstown Child Protection Policy.
